Leading experts of Social Network Analysis, including Dr. Jari Saramäki, a co-founder and member of the scientific advicory board of Xtract, has published a new scientific paper. You can find it here.

They find out that neither the weakest nor the strongest links in a social network are crucial for diffusion of information. Instead, meadium-strength links count. The weak links are limited by their information-carrying capacity, while the strongest links carry the information only locally, trapping it to communities
