Michael Hallén
Chairman of the Board
Michael Hallén has lead and directed several technology companies. His most recent operational assignment was as president and CEO of Stockholm listed Boss Media AB, a leading systems supplier in digitally-distributed gaming entertainment. Previously, Hallén was president and CEO of IFS AB, a provider of business applications, also listed in Stockholm and operating in some 50 countries. He played a key role in the company’s international expansion and has also been establishing its offshore capabilities.
Hallén is currently active in the boards of Extenda, a supplier of software for the retail industry, Cambio, provider of healthcare administration software and XDIN, an engineering consultation firm. He holds a Master of Science in Engineering Physics from Chalmers University of Technology and lives with his family in Gothenburg, Sweden.
Juha Mikkola

Juha Mikkola is the head of investment process in Eqvitec and one of the founders of Eqvitec Partners. He has managed numerous successful technology companies from startup to internationalisation. Many of his investments have now been either publicly listed or acquired by other industrial corporations. Juha has been responsible for such portfolio companies as Digia, Smarttrust, AffectoGenimap, Iobox, Infosto and many others. “In a very competitive environment strong technology is just a good start. We at Eqvitec know from experience how important it is to have a right business model and well communicated service offering to be successful.”
Staffan Helgesson
Member of the Board
Staffan Helgesson has long experience from the venture industry and brings significant company building experience from the many ventures he has been associated with. He also has extensive international management experience from McKinsey & Company, Procter & Gamble and IKEA, in Europe, USA and Asia. Staffan was previously a founder and Managing Partner of Startupfactory. He holds a degree in Managerial Economics from Lund University and is also a Kauffman Fellow.
Staffan Ingeborn

Managing Investment Director of InnovationsKapital, which he founded in 1994. Staffan is one of the most experienced Nordic venture capitalists. He pioneered the venture capital industry in the area when the industry was still in its infancy.
Staffan has been responsible for InnovationsKapital’s investments in a number of companies, for example; Altitun (acq. by ADC), Formex (acq. by Tyco), Kreatel (acq. by Motorola), and Spotfire (acq. by TIBCO). He currently represents InnKap on the boards of Enigma, Silecs and SiCon. Prior to founding InnKap, Staffan was a management consultant and private investor. His early career also includes positions as Managing Director of Frico AB (leading the IPO of the company), and General Manager of the Hygiene Division of LIC. He has an BSc from Göteborg University.
Kimmo Kiviluoto

Kimmo Kiviluoto has 10 years of experience in customer analytics services and entrepreneurship. Mr. Kiviluoto has worked as an analytics consultant for telecom, media, and financial institutions, and directed personalization and analytics product businesses. Mr. Kiviluoto has a strong background in analytics methods and has authored dozens of scientific publications on Neural Networks and other statistical tools, with applications on forecasting, time-series analysis, segmentation, and profiling. Mr. Kiviluoto has a M.Sc. from Helsinki University of Technology.
Alan Moore

Alan Moore is member of the board of Xtract. Alan is the originator of the term, philosophy and principles of Engagement Marketing. He started working on the concept in the late 1990’s, which, culminated in his founding the first specialist Community Engagement Marketing company in 2001, SMLXL, Small Medium Large XtraLarge, and the writing of the seminal book Communities Dominate Brands. SMLXL is a new type of marketing company that helps businesses and customers to better engage with one another.
Alan has 17 years experience as a creative brand strategist, representing global brands at leading international marketing agencies. His clients include: Nokia, Blyk, Telia Sonera, SonyBMG, The Coca Cola Company, H&M, TV2 Finland and TV2 Norway, Hewlett Packard, Masterfoods, John de Mols investment company Cyrte, The Centre for the Experience Economy University Amsterdam, IPG, WPP companies OgilvyOne and JWT, Supermassive Games and the ethical brand Neal’s Yard Remedies.
Voytek Siewierski

Voytek Siewierski is member of the board of Xtract. Voytek is Investment Partner at Mitsui & Co.Venture Partners,Inc., Silicon Valley Office. Before joining MCVP team Mr. Siewierski was an Executive Director at NTT DoCoMo including 6 years in Japan and 3 years in the UK. After participating in the carrier’s IPO at Tokyo Stock Exchange he coordinated DoCoMo’s international technology partnerships including the partnership with Sun Microsystems that brought Java to mobile phones. Developed a number of successful value added mobile services with partners such as Walt Disney Corporation, Warner Brothers, CNN and others.
Mr. Siewierski executed a number of international equity investments in cellular carriers in Europe and Asia and initiated a number of technology licensing projects between DoCoMo and mobile operators such as KPN Mobile in Holland, Telefonica in Spain, Boygues Telecom in France and KG Telecom in Taiwan. Between 2004 and 2006 he was in charge of all new business in Europe. His previous experience includes consulting and technology research in the United States and Europe. A visiting lecturer at the University of Oxford, teaching telecommunications and judge in several technology awards programs, including Tech Pioneers of the World Economic Forum in Davos and Mobile Innovation Awards of the GSM Association. Holds M.A.L.D from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy (Tufts University/Harvard). Graduate courses in IT and International Marketing at the Harvard Business School.
