Open position: Analytics Developer
We are looking for a analytics developer to join the Xtract Technology team. This position is located in Espoo, Finland, and reports to the Vice President of Technology.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Working as a member of technology team, working on novel analytical solutions in both product research and development and project delivery
- Implementation of analytics tools and functionality in the context of the product
- Prototyping and piloting novel approaches
- Performing customer implementations
Qualifications:
- Formal education in fields of mathematics, physics, information science, computer science or engineering
- Solid understanding of fundamental analytical tools such as stochastic processes, probability theory and regression modeling
- Understanding computational issues related to functional implementation of algorithms
- Strong on hands experience of working with real life applications
- Experience in programming in an object-oriented language (Java preferred)
- Experience with high-level languages such as R or Matlab
- Experience with SQL
- Fluent Finnish and English (spoken and written)

Job description
You will be providing technical support both for our direct sales and partners globally. Your main objective is to bring the technical credibility to our sales efforts, focusing on the integration aspects of Xtract solutions to customer environment.
The practical areas of responsibility are:
- Supporting customer meetings from technical point of view
- Development of technical product/customer documentation
- Development of technical presentations
- Presentation and relationship building across Telco and Partner organisations
- Training of customers and partners
- Solution design, requirement capture and documentation
- Contributing the proposals and tenders
We are seeking a strong individual, with good communication and negotiation skills to support our sales and partner engagements. Capability and will to operate in the most demanding international environment dealing with Telco industry with integrity and excellence is recommended. We believe that best results are achieved in the position through pursuit of true excellence in the following areas:
- Technical knowledge on mobile operator network ecosystem: IN, Billing systems, VAS, SMSC/MMSC, WAP/WEB,
- Unix/Linux skills, db skills, …
- Good presentation and negotiation skills
- Experience in working with international customers
- Ability to work in a well organized and documented way
- Ability to keep the schedules and manage well under pressure
- Good mathematical skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – both in Finnish and English.
